"I'm sure you say i look like weepin. Wee pin has got a freaking mole on his face" - our ever kind shawn tan.
Just thought it was damn funny and it probably won't sound funny to you now but to hear it in its full colour at that moment was just damn bomb. No offence to anyone and i apologise if this quote has caused distress or confusion to anyone.
Ok fine, mel doesn't consider that a real "quote" so here goes:
"I'll be there when you smell like poo."
Seemingly stupid and silly but i personally like it very much because it speaks a lot about odac. Where can you find people who will enjoy time with you even though you haven't bathed in three days (and coming June, seven days). And it speaks of how odac allows one to appreciate someone beneath the surface. Never mind you may smell like crap, look damn unglam but on expedition we'll still wanna be with each other coz there's something magical there.
Anyway, today was odac bbq at pasir ris and it was overally quite well done. No joke planning for 70 plus people and although there are many areas to improve, i think meiting gerard and yishan worked around the limitations to the best of their abilities. We just need more space and more food next year, yeah. And oh, i MUST mention this. Petrina makes the DA BOMB cheesecakes.
I dunno who reads this blog but i just felt i wanted to thank some people at this juncture. For today, thanks to mel ho, kelly, marie, gina and yee sian for waiting with me for the souvenirs to dry. For without you guys, staying with gina alone would have been potentially mind blowing (literally) and dangerous.
Although this doesn't exactly count as thanks, i just wanna say to Gina how glad i am that you're my counterpart. Sure, i suan you all day long and niao you about your chor lor-ness (and you niao me back) and we usually keep bickering but certainly two wrongs do make a right, right? Look forward really to working closer with you haha.
And to the rest of my batchmates, thank you for being my batchmates. I'm very sure we'll have a great time together for the next year and i hope you all will give your 100% for only then will you get back 101%. My personal motto would be to make the odac experience truly the best one in your life. But that's of course not without your effort and i cannot guarantee that everything will be done right, for afterall, i am but human. All i know is that the next year will be one in a lifetime, no way you can turn the clock back so we must make the most of whatever time we have.
To odac 21, thanks for showing us how professional and efficient you guys can get in the outdoors. But take note, we'll be catching up and doing better!
