Its one am now and i really should be sleeping but i feel quite fresh still so shall do a quick post. Had tuition today, nothing really interesting except that as i was walking to the tutor's house in bishan, i saw two young boys smoking. They were, at most, 15 years old and looked pretty noob in the way they were holding the cigarette (not like i am any expert)

Anyway for those who know me well enough, I ABSOLUTELY hate smokers. I mean its bad enough that they allow something to screw up their lives, enough that they totally want lung cancer coming their way. But not only do they harm themselves and waste money, they also pollute the air and harm us thru their second hand smoke. There is nothing more irritating/agonising than having a meal with some smoker behind you adding extra ingredients to your meal. Totally kills mr appetite.

Back to the two kids. They were, presumably, just beginning their journey into smoker-hood and that made me incredibly sad. Consider that the majority of smokers i encounter are either bengs in their late teens or 20s or else are the old ah peks and aunties. Its really quite shocking to see these two young dudes deciding to take up the path to screwed-up-life hood.

So i really had the irresistible urge to go up to them and grab those bleddy cigarettes and throw them away. Perhaps do a very noble "lecture" and warn them not to touch those cursed sticks again. But my humchee side told me to just ignore and pretend i didnt see anything. And my humchee side prevailed. It was not really i scared they will whack me or wad (they were both very scrawny and at last check, did not seem to have any parang-wielding entourage with them) but its just cause i couldn't be bothered. I reckoned they totally wont give a shit about what i say to them.

So i can only hope they wake up their idea and stop before they fall into the abyss of no return. To those who are currently smokers, pls stop smoking cause it does you or those around you little good. You are shortchanging yourself.
