Too fast too furious

In the blink of an eye, 2005 is coming to an end. Its amazing how time passes so fast and even more amazing how the hols are gone like that. I made a resolution this holidays to spend it wisely but sadly i still regret a few weeks where nothing worthwhile was done.

But thankfully, i am also looking forward to the new year ahead, a new environment, and perhaps a more fulfilling time. Its ironic how during term time we are always begging for the holidays to come and then when it does we lament how bored it is. Well i guess you can't have too much of something.

If u look at the year in review, it will certainly reveal (pun unintended) certains ups and downs, just as there are always ups and downs in life, friendships, work etc.

It's amazing how friends who were chatting and joking with you a day ago can actually all dao you the next day. Even more amazing when it's all over a game of dota. Has everyone become irrational over a game of dota or is this a trigger for the many faultlines in this friendship?

Could this be a case of providence terminating old friendships in preparation for new ones next year? I certainly hope not.

Or have the past two years' time spent eating/laughing/hanging around and even one of them whom i have shared ten days in new zealand all gone to nought? Was it all a waste of time? I certainly hope not.

Yesterday i reveived a xmas present - kind of a paper stand which comes with calendar cards. On one of them i found this phrase - "如果朋友让你生气,那说明你仍然在意他的友情。”

Am i angry? I don't think that would be an accurate description at all. More like frustrated + disappointed + confused?

Perhaps only time can reveal all the answers. Just have to wait, i guess... ...

"Too many walls have been built inbetween us
Too many dreams have been shattered around us
If I seem to give up they'll still never win
Deep in my heart I know the strength is within"
-Too Many Walls by Cathy Dennis
Sigh.
