Am very brain dead from all that "mugging" in low-crime singapore and so here i am blogging. Attempting to extract more memory from that brain of mine. Anyway, Class95 had some 95 minutes of "uninterrupted music marathon" at 2pm. All's well until "and you're listening to class95's 95 minutes of uninterrupted music" comes on. So much for uninterrupted music heh.

Day FIVE: Five was the wake up time for day 5. Stirred at around 5.45am i think. Anyway breakfast wasn't exactly ready so we were all in good time. The delay was also worth it. Breakfast was sumptuous fishball noodles/kway teow/bee hoon. Shiok.

Packed up, quick photos and final goodbye to paka river camp as we headed out to Cemerong. Had my deepest bus-journey-nap on that short trip to the waterfall. After quick briefings, we hit straight for the mountain. And for whatever reasons, this trek proved to be tougher than Belumut. I think it's got to do with us going uphill non stop, at least Belumut had numerous rest points. This was just on and on and up and up all the time.

The hike up was quite uneventful except for the parts where we had to cross these rivers. And so everyone tries as much as possible to prevent our shoes getting wet and you see all sorts of stance and positions. I crossed, heard the guide instruct me to "masuk". Fell into the water unwillingly. Masuk is "in", you idiot. So listen to the guide and step or you will fall in in the most unglam way ever. So everyone's shoes were wet anyhow. The guide was also freaking power.

Carrying his parang with him, he went about zham-ing fallen branches to provide us with walking sticks. I swear we'll bring a parang on our next trip. Then there was one point where it was so steep, we were told to get rid of walking sticks so we could use our bare hands. To cut a long story short, after an ardous 2 and a half hours, we finally reached the waterfall.

Aye, shall go satisfy this dude called "conscience" now and will blog later.

Mr "Conscience" has been satisfactorily satisfied and so it has been a satisfying day. Shall have my solace here, until he comes knocking on the door again tomorrow.

So, we were at the waterfall, which wasn't as impressive as i had pictured it to be, cause we didn't manage to go to the main big waterfall. So we had some photos taken and our packed lunch of chicken rice and chilli (the soup i very cleverly got rid of in the morning to avert a possible disaster which unfortunately happened to a few people). The chilli deserves mention cause it was uber zai and our resident chilli lover kellyng ate it like some bomb. To our dismay, it was starting to rain and we had to cepat cepat keluar the waterfall.

The descent was quite uneventful, just that we were a little slow. And nicole, our resident faller, fell a super lot of times, so much so that the guide was getting super amused. (awak pendek, hur hur.) Yah, the descent was uneventful. Until water fell. From the skies. So it started to pour real heavily and being the lazy ass that i was, just didnt take out my poncho and i trooped on in the rain. Somehow the rain made the journey more enjoyable, though we were not high and singing all the way down. We = me, kelly and charlene who were kinda sticking to each other cause the whole line gets broken up. Then finally reached the bottom and had to cross the river crossings.

And i identified the wrong one to cross and fell chest high into the water. Fortunately (unfortunately), did not get swept away anywhere, so here i am. And yah got back up (after numerous falls, dammit, the rocks damn slippery) and found the river-with-red-rope and crossed it safely. Finished, and realised that i did not pack extra clothes.

Fortunately wee pin did bring extra sets out and so borrowed and shirt from him. Decided to preserve my dignity and bear with a wet bottom than to go "commando". If you ain't getting what "commando" is, good for you. Just before departing, michelle discovered a leech on her leg, which she responded totally calm and even waited for it to fall. But it chose not to. So in comes mr axe brand oil. Removed it for her and decided to spice up mr shawn tan's life a little. Rewarded with a scream.

Then we finally left the waterfall at evening, for our dinner at this "restaurant" and the villa night.

And since it is rather a highlight, these two events will be highlighted tomorrow.

Tata.
